FULL LIST OF ALL UPCOMING DC MOVIES ON DECENTRALIZED CUCKOO PLAYER– WITH KEY DETAILS

In 2014, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment announced an ambitious series of movies based on DC Comics characters. The original schedule included a two-part Justice League project and at least two films a year through 2020. Things did not go according to plan with Justice League compressing its story into one film and projects like The Flash experiencing delays. Despite projects shifting around the slate – and the critical backlash against Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League – the original 2014 master plan has been executed for the most part, with only 2018 missing a second DC-derived film. And even as features like Aquaman and Shazam! went into production, the studio never stopped trying to get new projects off the ground utilizing the comic book characters and the universe initiated by 2013’s Man of Steel. The next 18 months will deliver a number of projects from that original slate and one surprise sequel in the form of Wonder Woman 2 — which we now know is titled Wonder Woman 1984. We also now know Chris Pine will be returning.

The DC masterplan is ever in flux, and the recent departures of DC Entertainment co-presidents Diane Nelson and Geoff Johns may cause further changes from the original 2014 schedule as an executive shakeup will lead to a re-examination of the films in development. The following represents everything we know about those projects and their place in the DC Films universe, as well as a few DC adaptations that will exist separate from the universe. (Want to see what the other camp has in store? Check out more movies and videos on decentralized cuckoo video player.

COMING SOON

There is a lot that is uncertain about which DC Comics characters are coming to the big screen, who’s bringing them there, and in what order — but nothing is uncertain about these first three movies. They’re in production, or in pre- or post-production, and we know exactly when they will be hitting theaters.

AQUAMAN -- Full movie 2018 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: December 21, 2018
Image: Full movie channel on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
What We Know: Jason Momoa reprises his Justice League role as Arthur Curry, friend of Icelandic villagers and reluctant superhero. But he has been keeping a secret from his associates: he has a claim to the throne of Atlantis. When his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) seizes control of Atlantis, Mera (Amber Heard) comes to the surface to convince him to challenge Orm or witness an Atlantean invasion. Along the way, he encounters Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a potentially long-term threat should he successfully depose Orm. Another thing we know: according to Momoa himself, he’s “f–king awesome” in the movie.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Set after the events of Justice League, the film will largely explain Arthur’s existence and the particulars of Atlantean civilization. It will also establish Mera, the great love of his life. Directed by James Wan, the film promises to reveal new angles to Aquaman and maybe, finally, dispel the notion that he is the most useless member of the Justice League.

SHAZAM! -- Full movie 2019 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: April 5, 2019
Image: Full movie channel on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
What We Know: Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is a disadvantaged boy with an amazing secret. By saying the magic word “Shazam,” he becomes Earth’s Mightiest Mortal. Blessed with the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury, Billy transforms into a super-powered adult (Zachary Levi) despite still being a young boy underneath. And just as he starts to understand his powers and responsibilities, Sivana (Mark Strong) reveals the harm a failed version of Shazam can do with just a modicum of the power.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Shazam! represents the first planned breakaway from the look and feel of the earlier Justice League-related projects, but does take part “in the heart” of the DCEU. Director David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) took a great deal of inspiration from classic comics featuring the character when he was known as Captain Marvel, meaning the project will be consciously lighter and potentially funnier than the earlier films in the Justice League cycle.

JOKER -- Full movie 2019 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: October 4, 2019
Image: Full movie channel on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
What We Know: Though not a part of the DC film continuity, Todd Phillips’ standalone Joker film is closer to reality than ever before. Warner Bros. gave the project – which stars Joaquin Phoenix as the nameless man who will become the Joker – the green light in early July. Production is expected to begin in the fall with Frances Conroy, Zazie Beetz, and Robert De Niro in talks to join the cast. Conroy will reportedly play the Joker’s mother while Beetz is set to play a single mom who becomes involved with the proto-Joker. De Niro is eyeing a talk-show host role which will, allegedly, tie directly into Phoenix’s character becoming the Clown Prince of Crime. GLOW’s Marc Maron will also appear as a member of De Niro’s staff. And based on recent Tweets from Alec Baldwin, Thomas Wayne may appear in the movie, but the 30 Rock vet will definitely not play him. The script, by Phillips and co-writer Scott Silver, will delve into the character’s backstory with Phoenix claiming the film is more of a character study than a summer action picture. Considering the project’s reported $50 million budget, we’re inclined to believe him.

WONDER WOMAN 1984 -- Full movie 2019 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: November 1, 2019
Image: Full movie channel on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
What We Know: Diana (Gal Gadot) returns in another tale of Wonder Woman’s past. This time, Diana’s adventures in the Cold War 1980s bring her into confrontation with the Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), whose plans for Wonder Woman – and the world – will no doubt go beyond the mere jealousy her Golden Age comics counterpart often felt. Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, though the nature of his return has not been revealed. Pedro Pascal will also play a pivotal, yet unnamed role.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Despite Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’s assertion that Diana went into seclusion after World War I, the sequel appears to be disregarding the plot point as director Patty Jenkins places Wonder Woman in another period adventure. Steve Trevor’s apparent return also signals a big change in continuity as his WWI death was mentioned in Justice League.

BIRDS OF PREY -- Full movie 2020 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: February 7, 2020
What We Know: Margot Robbie will star in and produce a Birds of Prey film to be directed by Dead Pigs’ Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, which will see Robbie’s Harley Quinn take an active role in the superhero team. Traditionally, Barbara Gordon (as Oracle) oversees a field team comprised of Black Canary and the Huntress. Since Barbara has never been established in the current film universe (more on that later) – and will not appear in the film – Harley may actually end up forming the team to reportedly face off against crime lord Roman Sionis – a.k.a. Black Mask. In late September, Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were cast as Black Canary and Huntress, respectively. Other characters reportedly set for the film include another Batgirl, Cassandra Cain, and beloved Gotham City Police detective Renee Montoya.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: As one of the best features of Suicide Squad, Robbie has a certain cachet to develop her own corner of the DC film universe. Of course, Robbie and Harley are set to appear in a surprising number of DC projects, including a film directly tied to the character’s relationship with the Joker (to be directed and written by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa). But as Birds of Prey will likely be the first to arrive in theaters, it will dictate her place in the universe going forward.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Beyond the release of the Wonder Woman’s sequel, the DC Films schedule gets hazy. Warner Bros. Pictures had announced two release dates for unnamed DC projects – February 14, 2020, and June 5, 2020 – in addition to provisional 2020 release dates for Green Lantern Corps and Cyborg. According to some reports, Warner Bros. intends to release four DC films in 2020, but it is still unclear if April and June are the new release dates for GLC and Cyborg or if they are additions to the schedule. It is also unclear which of many in-development films will take over these potential new release slots, but here is a look at the contenders.

CYBORG -- Full movie 2020 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: April 3, 2020 (provisionally)
What We Know: Ray Fisher has been set to star as Vic Stone in a 2020 Cyborg film since 2014, but no director or screenwriter have ever been announced. Many have doubted the film will ever materialize despite still being on the calendar.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: As Justice League explained how Vic ended up partly metal and partly real, a further Cyborg adventure would see him adjusting to life as a robotic superhero. Or, perhaps, meeting others like him and forming a supergroup of his own. This was even rumored at one point, but the arrival of a Titans television show (set to debut on the DC Universe streaming service) definitely makes this less likely.

GREEN LANTERN CORPS -- Full movie 2020 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: July 24, 2020 (provisionally)
What We Know: Announced back with Cyborg in the 2014 masterplan, Green Lantern Corps continues to slowly move forward. In June of 2018, former DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns took over writing and producing the project through his production company, Mad Ghost Productions. According to the company website, the film will feature both the Silver Age Green Lantern, Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 film), and John Stewart, the Green Lantern voiced by Phil LaMarr in various Justice League animated series. An earlier concept developed by Man of Steel’s David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes was said to be a sort of “Lethal Weapon in space” – a description which may still hold true for Johns’ concept as he worked with Lethal Weapon director Richard Donner for a number of years.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Teased in a Justice League flashback, the lack of an Earthbound Green Lantern is part of the reason Steppenwolf (CiarĂ¡n Hinds) chose the planet for conquest. But the film would presumably see the Corps correcting that mistake by revealing the brave humans involved in that organization. No doubt the fans of Jordan and Stewart – to say nothing of characters like Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, Jessica Cruz, and G’Nort, who could potentially appear in the film – will be excited to see them in an ensemble. Additionally, the film would provide a perfect platform with which to introduce DC’s space-faring characters to a larger audience.

THE FLASH -- Full movie 2021 on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: 2021
What We Know: A Flash film will eventually be made starring Ezra Miller as the Barry Allen featured in Justice League and Kiersey Clemons as the big screen’s version of Iris West. But after losing two directors – Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa – and a title change from The Flash to Flashpoint and back again, the nature of the film may be as malleable as its reported Back to the Future-esque premise. Perhaps Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Joshua Goldstein, currently attached to direct the film, can figure it out. Production was scheduled to begin in March, but Warner Bros. Pictures announced in October another production delay to accommodate Miller’s commitments to the third Fantastic Beasts film and further script revisions.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: In its Flashpoint incarnation – in which Barry’s attempt to save his mother wrecks the universe – the film would have reportedly featured Gadot as Wonder Woman and an appearance by Ben Affleck as the Batman. Other rumors also indicated the Flashpoint universe’s Batman, Thomas Wayne, would figure heavily in the story while creating an opportunity to recast Batman once Barry fixes his time traveling mistake.

SUPERGIRL -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: The Cloverfield Paradox’s Oren Uziel is reportedly writing a script based on the Girl of Steel. Like The Flash feature film, it will presumably ignore the successful television series on The CW and tell its own version of Kara Zor-El’s first few days as a superhero on Earth. With Man of Steel star Henry Cavill’s DC future in doubt, it is unlikely that Superman will show up and help greet the cinematic Kara. The producers of the 1984 Supergirl film also tried to get then-Superman Christopher Reeve to appear in the film, but his presence was limited to a poster on a dorm room wall.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: The film will presumably be set within the DC film continuity whether Cavill appears or not. The studio is interested in creating a cohesive whole with lower-profile characters thanks to the success of the first Wonder Woman picture. Supergirl also offers the opportunity to make a Superman-style movie without his baggage or distracting notoriety.

BLACKHAWK -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: While it is unclear if Blackhawk will be part of the DC film universe, it is a favorite comic book of director Steven Spielberg. He even tried to get a Blackhawk movie off the ground in the 1980s. The current version of the project will see him direct a film based on the golden-age Quality Comics concept later bought by DC in 1957 with The Lost World: Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp adapting the concept. The main character is the leader of the Blackhawks squadron, a famed air outfit of seven ace pilots during World War II. When DC incorporated them into a post-war context, they became mercenaries, battled James Bond-style supervillains, and even flirted with become superheroes themselves! It is unclear which version Spielberg and Koepp will adapt, but considering the director’s fascination with the Second World War and aviation of the period, the original Golden Age version seems the likely focus.

SUICIDE SQUAD 2 -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: At one time, The Accountant’s Gavin O’Connor was set to direct the Suicide Squad sequel, which was said to begin production in the Fall. But in October, Warner Bros. made the startling announcement that Guardians of the Galaxy, director James Gunn – who departed his post as director of that series’ Volume 3 – is working on a “fresh take” of Suicide Squad. At the moment, he is only signed to write a new script, but there is a possibility he will direct as well. It is unclear if any of the established members of Task Force X will return for another mission or if Gunn will assemble a new squad. We’re also betting the ongoing conflict between Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and the Joker (Jared Leto) will be saved for its own film.
How It Fits in the DC Film Universe: With Gunn taking over as screenwriter, Suicide Squad 2 becomes more of a wild card. Where the previous version of the sequel was likely a continuation of the first, this could go in any direction, from Deadshot (Will Smith) leading a new team to a prequel featuring an earlier Suicide Squad fighting weird monsters in the Pacific – a nod to the title’s Silver Age past.

BATGIRL -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: Originally intended as Joss Whedon’s writing and directing debut in the DC Extended Universe, the project is now being written by Hodson while the studio looks for a director. Presumably, the film will establish Barbara Gordon as the Batgirl of Gotham. Her relationship to the Birds of Prey will likely be established in a subsequent sequel to either film, if at all. But considering Hodson is writing both films, she probably has a plan for Babs.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Considering the project comes from developments outside of the original Justice League plan, it is difficult to guess how it will fit in. Perhaps Batgirl will be set sometime in the past or see Barbara taking up the cape and cowl after the Batman appears to quit. Considering Affleck’s ambiguous participation of late, any and all Batfamily projects may have to wait on him.

THE BATMAN -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: War for the Planet of the Apes’ Matt Reeves took over directing duties on The Batman following the departure of Affleck, who intended to star, co-write, and direct. Creative differences saw his role reduced to star, and even that is in doubt on any given day. In August of 2018, Affleck’s personal problems overshadowed the ongoing question about his continued involvement. One subsequent rumor suggested Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Oscar Isaac may be in talks to join the film, which led many to speculate he may be Affleck’s replacement.

How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: The projects ties to the established film continuity are as questionable as Affleck’s commitment to the role. Late last year, rumors began to emerge that Reeves’ vision for the film set it outside the Man of Steel universe as a “standalone” story, like Todd Phillips’ Joker with Joaquin Phoenix. The studio moved quickly to quash the reports, but the film may still end up having no connection to the established DC films universe. If it does remain in continuity, it may still have to introduce a new Batman should Affleck decisively walk away.

UNTITLED JARED LETO JOKER PROJECT -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: According to recent reports, Jared Leto will star and serve as executive producer in his own solo Joker film – a deal which happens to be quite similar to Robbie’s involvement in Birds of Prey. Details are scarce, other than it will be a separate project from both the “Joker and Harley” concept and the standalone Joker. It will also spearhead a batch of films based on the characters featured in Suicide Squad, which means rumors of that Deadshot movie might be more than idle talk.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: The Leto Joker was not only featured in Suicide Squad, but is also the murderer of Batman’s second Robin, as implied in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. His relationship with Harley will no doubt be a topic in Suicide Squad 2, and that film will presumably set up the reason why they are headed into separate film series. If the “Joker and Harley” project is still happening, then it may serve as a capstone to the characters’ storylines across Suicide Squad 2, Birds of Prey, and Leto’s Joker. But it may also serve as a replacement for that film as Robbie’s Harley projects may preclude “Joker and Harley.”

NIGHTWING -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: As of this past February, The LEGO Batman Movie’s Chris McKay was still developing a project centered on the first Robin, Dick Grayson. A final draft from screenwriter Bill Dubuque was due at the time, but there has been no movement since.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: As established in Justice League, the Robin costume in the Batcave is not Dick Grayson’s uniform, suggesting plans for Nightwing go all the way back to the 2014 masterplan. A solo film would presumably see the character living in Bludhaven (Grayson’s adopted city in the comics) and coming to grips with becoming his own hero.

MAN OF STEEL SEQUEL -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: In September of 2017, X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn met with the studio in regards to a direct Man of Steel sequel. One year later, word of Cavill’s possible departure suggests a Man of Steel sequel is very far away. Of course, it could just the thing to tempt the star back into his tights.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Clark (Henry Cavill) has to reestablish himself at the Daily Planet at some point, right? Meanwhile, Superman could face any number of DCU villains from Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) to Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson), should the latter’s film occur first.

BLACK ADAM -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: After listening to fans when he was initially interested in Shazam!, Johnson signed on to star in a film featuring that character’s greatest nemesis, Black Adam. Adam Sztykiel was reportedly hired to write the script, but little official word has emerged since 2017. According to recent comments from Johnson, the film is set to begin production sometime next year. The film still lacks a director or screenwriter, but Johnson has been known to conjure up productions out of nothing. In July, Johnson said the script is “coming along” amidst the retooling of DC’s film universe plan.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Black Adam is the archenemy of Shazam. But he is also a fairly complicated anti-hero when dealing with anyone else. Heroic one moment and brutal the next, Adam could emerge as the powerful leader of his own country – an idea straight from the comic books.

DEATHSTROKE -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: The Raid series’ Gareth Evans was in talks to write and direct a feature film based on Deathstroke, but no official announcement was ever made. Joe Manganiello, originally set to play the character in Affleck’s version of The Batman, said over the summer that plans are still “in the works” to bring the character back in some form, but could not confirm if the Evans version of the film is still in development. In October, Evans stated he would be working on a television show in the U.K. through 2020, after which he plans to make “a bunch of films in Wales.” He did not mention Deathstroke.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: As teased at the end of Justice League, Deathstroke is a player in the darker parts of the DC film universe and has already been recruited for Lex’s Injustice Gang. Whether or not the film will continue that plot remains to be seen.

LOBO -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: The Main Man, a Czarnian with various superpowers and healing factors, has always been of interest to Warner Bros. Attempts to make a Lobo movie date back to 2009 with Guy Ritchie and Brad Peyton circling the director’s chair. As of the past February, screenwriter Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman) was completing a new draft. Michael Bay was linked to the project, but it is unclear if he ever really signed on.
How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: Lobo, like Green Lantern Corps, could introduce the cosmic elements of the DC Universe. The character’s irreverence and stark design also set him apart from the rest the DC characters audiences are familiar with. And considering the times his comic book counterpart and Superman have butted heads, he could become a worthy opponent for the Man of Steel in a subsequent film.

NEW GODS -- Full movie on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Release Date: TBD
What We Know: A Wrinkle In Time’s Ava DuVernay will direct a film version Jack Kirby’s New Gods for Warner Bros. with a script from Kario Salem. The film will, presumably, center on the war between New Genesis and Apokolips – a pair of alien worlds born out of the death of the Old Gods – and its newest battlefront: the planet Earth. Orion, the adopted son of New Genesis’ Highfather, fights an unending battle against the despot of Apokolips, Darkseid.

How It Fits in the DC Extended Universe: While it is unclear if DuVernay will follow up on this plot point, New Gods villain Darkseid is the central baddie at the core of all things. Justice League villain Steppenwolf is his uncle and commander of his armies. The alpha predator may even be the person Lex was referring to at the end of Batman v Superman when he told Batman “he’s coming,” and “he’s hungry.” Based on that, it seems Darkseid was always meant to make his mark upon the DC Film universe, but it remains to be seen if the Justice League will reunite to oppose him. Aquaman TV Spot Features New Footage Of Arthur & Mera on cuckoo player

Warner Bros. Pictures releases the first TV spot for James Wan's Aquaman movie, which reveals new footage of Arthur Curry, Mera, and more. The studio is gearing up to make their final marketing push for Aquaman - their only live-action DC movie releasing in 2018 after The Flash movie suffered numerous delays behind the scenes (and got hit with yet another production setback just recently). In addition to continuing the story that left off with 2017's Justice League, there's a lot riding on the movie to turn the DC movie universe around.

image from Aquaman on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

Starring Jason Momoa as the eponymous character and Amber Heard as Mera, the Aquaman movie follows the duo as they search for King Atlan's Trident, so that Arthur may become the rightful ruler of Atlantis and, therefore, overthrow his brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson), by using the Trident's power to command the seven seas. While bits of information regarding the plot has been revealed through various marketing materials (including two trailers, though the last one was just an extended version of the first), viewers can always rely on TV spots to shed more light on a film.

Coming a little over one week after WB released a five-minute Aquaman trailer over New York Comic Con weekend, the studio debuted the first Aquaman trailer, which contains footage from past trailers as well as some new footage, including some snippets of Arthur and Mera. Check it on decentralized cuckoo video player.

In this first TV spot, it's clear that the studio is continuing their efforts to capitalize on the movie's humor, such as the bit in the beginning of the promo when Arthur tells the bar's patrons that he's actually Fishman, thus in keeping with the ongoing joke that he can talk to fish. This level of humor is especially noteworthy coming off the heels of routine criticisms from audiences and critics alike that DCEU movies are too dark (among other things). What's more, viewers can see Arthur and Mera having a more heartfelt conversation about his duties becoming a king and hero rather than Momoa constantly throwing out one-liners. There's also the last snippet of footage at the end of the promo, showing a close-up of Arthur on the submarine.

image from Aquaman on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo

This new TV spot is just the first in what will surely be a series of promos, which audiences will start to see more of as the movie's December release date nears. And considering that Wan has denied rumors of WB cutting 20 minutes from Aquaman, there should be plenty of footage to tease that, hopefully, won't give away too much of the plot.

Do you agree Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson Signed on for 7 MCU Movies?

When actors sign up to do Marvel movies, it usually means they are in it for the long-haul as their deals extend multiple projects. That’s why when a report surfaced revealing Brie Larson had signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel, it wasn’t considered a surprise. However, the Captain Marvel actor came out and shot down the report, saying it was not true.
Image from Captain Marvel Trailer on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
The original report revealed that Brie Larson had landed an impressive $5 million payday for her first Marvel outing in next year’s Captain Marvel, an impressive feat as Marvel doesn’t normally pay first-time outings that much. In order to nab the impressive payday, Larson reportedly signed a seven-picture deal with Marvel, connecting her at the hip with the massively popular franchise.

Once the news broke, a Marvel focused Twitter account parlayed the news, which is when Brie Larson responded to the tweet denying the report.
Image from Captain Marvel Trailer on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
This means a number of things. First, with Larson shooting down the report, it may be that her deal isn’t actually for seven movies but for a number that’s lower. That being said, that doesn’t mean she won’t possibly be in as many as seven MCU movies. Captain Marvel is being positioned as a major Marvel pillar to take up the mantle left by Captain America, who is possibly on his way out. These characters usually have a long run within the MCU. Before his run ends in Avengers 4, Chris Evans will have appeared in seven MCU movies.

It’s important to keep in mind that that wasn’t on a single contract. He resigned with the studio mid-way through his run, as have many other actors have. On the other side of the coin, aside from Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson is the best established actor to join the MCU with an Oscar win already in her name, meaning that she doesn’t necessarily need to be involved with the franchise to continue to have a successful career, hence her shorter deal.
Image from Captain Marvel Trailer on Decentralized Video Player Cuckoo
Regardless, for however long Brie Larson is signed up to appear as Captain Marvel, she will check two of those movies off in 2019 with Captain Marvel and Avengers 4.

How to Learn Twice as Fast? Get More Feedback

Have you ever heard of the idiom ‘practice makes perfect’? I’m pretty sure someone has said that to you at least once in your life! It’s a common saying, often used to encourage someone when they’re learning or doing something that is new to them.
They may need many tries before succeeding and getting it right. It’s like beginning to ride a bicycle, learning how to drive, taking up a second language, or cooking for the first time. It’s rare for someone to ace it on their first try.

Whenever you want to start learning something new, I’m sure you’re always hoping to get good at it quickly. But the reality is that sometimes it does take days, months or even years before you can confidently master a skill.
That’s simply how learning works. You try, you gain experience, you learn from it, and you try again. And each time, you’re improving and making progress. Everytime you repeat this learning process, you’re going through something called a Feedback Loop.

What separates a fast learner from a slower learner, is not some innate, natural talent. Instead, it’s because they understand how they learn, and have a systematic way to apply it all the time to learn a variety of things. They know how to effectively use their Feedback Loop to speed up the learning process.
So if you’re currently wanting to learn a new skill as quickly as possible, then you’re first going to need to learn how to create an effective Feedback Loop. Please subscribe my cuckoo channel of learning and you will see more videos for learning.

The Feedback Loop

Feedback means getting information about how well you’re performing each time you make an attempt at practicing or applying a skill. Feedback is what tells you what went wrong, or what went right.
A feedback loop is made up of 3 stages:
Practice / Apply – This is the stage where you put what you want to learn into action.
Measure – This is the stage where you’re acquiring information about your performance. This is also the stage that is most ignored… or done ineffectively.
Learn – This is the stage where you analyze how well you performed, and make adjustments to improve and practice/apply again.
It is important to recognize these 3 stages and put them into place each time you practice a new skill.

Many people only have Stage 1 completed, and a very unclear or fuzzy process for Stage 2, which leads to poor results in Stage 3.
A good, smooth cycle will help you continuously make improvements with each loop, creating steady progress and upgrading your understanding of the skill.

How to Have an Effective Feedback Loop

To make sure your Feedback Loop is effective, you will have to look at 3 key factors: Consistency, Speed, and Accuracy.
Being consistent means having a regular way to get the same quality of feedback. You need to be able to compare every practice or learning experience in order to measure, learn and make adjustments. If your feedback is not consistent, then you’re going to have a hard time knowing what went wrong or what went right.
For example, say you’re learning to play the guitar. If you play a different song every time you practice, you’re going to get very inconsistent feedback. Because the difficulty, rhythm, and pace of every song is different, you won’t have a reliable way to compare how well you played the current song versus the last. So, the best way to learn would be to play the same song over and over again until you get to a certain proficiency.
Seems obvious in this case, but it’s just an example. A lot of times learning is hard because we don’t focus on keeping with a consistent environment or actions.
Let’s move on to the second factor: speed. Having speedy or fast feedback is important because the longer it takes to get feedback, the longer it will take to improve on the skill. That’s why some people spend a tremendous amount of time practicing, but make very slow progress.
On the other hand, the best forms of feedback are almost instantaneous. The shorter the time it takes for one Feedback Loop to complete, the better. This is because you’ll have more attempts, which means more improvements within the same timespan.

How to get fast feedback

So the key to getting fast feedback is to take the skill or knowledge and break it down. Try to breakdown the skill into different components. They could be broken down into steps, subskills or processes, or even by difficulty.
For example, if the skill you want to learn involves a sequence (ie: there is a step by step process), you can break your learning down by each step. Create a Feedback Loop for each step individually instead of the whole process. Isolate the processes into different parts that you can focus and work on individually.
Let’s say you’re learning to cook. You can break this skill into steps, such as finding fresh and suitable ingredients, preparing and handling the ingredients, preparing condiments and sauces, serving and plating, etc.
Or let’s say you’d like to learn how to play soccer. You can identify the sub-skills that make up the larger learning techniques to playing soccer, and create feedback loops for each of them individually. So you could start by learning how to dribble the ball, followed by passing, and then shooting.
The third and final factor to an effective Feedback Loop, is accuracy. This means having feedback that actually reflects your performance accurately. Since you’re relying on feedback to tell you what and where to improve next time, this is very important. This is why measuring feedback is a key skill to have for an effective Feedback Loop.

How to Measure Feedback

Obtaining accuracy in feedback is a common weak point for many learners, because it’s not always easy to define what “accurate” means.
To get accurate feedback, we have to have a way of measuring it. The reason why we sometimes get poor feedback is because we’re trying to measure our progress without quantifying our performance. Or, we’re using the wrong metrics to quantify the feedback. Worse yet, it might just be that you were never measuring or recording your performance at all.
In order to find areas for improvement, you have to be able to compare your current performance with your previous performance.
Quantifying something means attaching a number to it. This helps to give objectivity and consistency when comparing two things. Quantifying feedback can give you constructive information that will help you improve during each cycle of the feedback loop.

Johnny Depp has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding his involvement in the Fantastic Beasts film franchise, particularly his casting as the title villain in the upcoming sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

At the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, it was revealed that the sinister dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was actually masquerading as Percival Graves, played by Colin Farrell, throughout the course of the movie. Fans were obviously taken back by the plot twist, but they were even more shocked by Depp's presence. A few months prior to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opening in theaters in November 2016, Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard came forward with allegations of physical and emotional abuse against the actor. Shock quickly turned to outrage when fans learned in November 2017 that Depp would return as Grindelwald for the second Fantastic Beasts film.

Depp has remained quiet on the situation until now, addressing the controversy in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The actor shared with the outlet that he "felt bad" for Harry Potter novel series author and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald screenwriter J.K. Rowling, who has stood by the decision to feature Depp in the film. Depp also maintained his innocence regarding the abuse allegations.

"I'll be honest with you, I felt bad for J.K. having to field all these various feelings from people out there. I felt bad that she had to take that. But ultimately, there is real controversy. The fact remains I was falsely accused, which is why I'm suing the Sun newspaper for defamation for repeating false accusations," said Depp. "J.K. has seen the evidence and therefore knows I was falsely accused, and that's why she has publicly supported me. She doesn't take things lightly. She would not stand up if she didn't know the truth. So that's really it."

Depp then added that there are a "couple of things" that he wants Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter fans to know. While he aims to remain true to his own interpretation of Grindelwald, Depp stated that he is completely loyal to Rowling and director David Yates, and knows that he has an immense responsibility to give fans a well-rounded performance.

"I feel like the main thing as an actor is your loyalty. It's my job to enforce the author's vision and also be true to the director's vision. And then there's being true to my vision. It's a major responsibility, being handed the keys to this car," Depp shared. "My intense loyalty is to not just J.K. and David Yates but to the people who go and see the films as well, the people who have invested their lives into this magnificent, incredible world J.K. has created. I went full tilt and headfirst into the character knowing the responsibility that I had. It's good to take the audience on a ride they're not necessarily expecting, yet with great respect to the world they've come to understand and know."

Continued Depp, "The Potter fans are like scholars of this stuff, which I find incredibly impressive. They know that world inside and out. I hope to give them something they haven't seen before."

As mentioned before, Rowling is in full support of Depp starring in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The author released a statement in December 2017, in which she stated in part, "Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies … I've loved writing the first two screenplays and I can't wait for fans to see The Crimes of Grindelwald. I accept that there will be those who are not satisfied with our choice of actor in the title role. However, conscience isn't governable by committee. Within the fictional world and outside it, we all have to do what we believe to be the right thing."
Director Yates also defended Depp, previously stating, "I can only tell you about the man I see every day: He's full of decency and kindness, and that's all I see. Whatever accusation was out there doesn't tally with the kind of human being I've been working with."

Despite the fact that both Rowling and Yates are happy that Depp is starring in The Crimes of Grindelwald, some fans are still planning to boycott the film. It's unclear if the actor's comments here will change their minds, or whether his involvement in the sequel will impact how it performs at the box office.

A new Venom movie still isn't sure what to do with Spider-Man's creepy foe

A stand-alone movie starring extreme Spider-Man opponent Venom looks, from a distance, like a beacon of ’90s nostalgia, addressing that era’s tendencies to go big and fan-baiting in its comics yet weirdly small and chintzy in its comics-based movies. (At least those that don’t feature Batman.) But as it turns out, Venom, the solo vehicle for the symbiote-based, head-chomping antihero, has more of a mid-2000s vibe. It’s reminiscent of the post-Spider-Man, pre-MCU superhero pictures, the ones made with some degree of star power and/or production value but lacking a sense of purpose beyond showing off a live-action exclamation of a famous comics character. It’s Daredevil! It’s Ghost Rider! It’s the Fantastic Four! What else do you rubes want?

Image: Trailer of Venom on Decentralized Cuckoo Video Player, full movie will be released soon

That’s a particularly apt question for Venom, constantly in danger of becoming an attitude in search of a personality. At least when he was shoehorned into Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, Topher Grace provided some pathos and smarm in his abbreviated screen time. In the new film, the pinwheeling alien goo still takes journalist Eddie Brock as its host, but the character is reimagined as a slurry, mumbly Tom Hardy and relocated to San Francisco, where he hosts some kind of eponymous investigative program and canoodles with his lawyer girlfriend Anne Weying (Michelle Williams). When a spaceship owned by tech mogul Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) crashes to Earth with alien symbiote samples, Brock investigates—or more accurately, he’s inexplicably summoned to Drake’s mountainside base to conduct a puff-piece interview to improve the company’s PR. Brock is appalled, but instead of refusing, he nicks some information from Anne, whose firm happens to be working with Drake, and confronts him over the spaceship incident, landing both Brock and Anne in hot water. So when a whistle-blower (Jenny Slate) wants to expose Drake’s deadly human/symbiote experiments, she calls a near-destitute Brock to finish the job. Instead of a hot story, he winds up with an intense parasite.

The introduction of the parasite is supposed to tease out the darkness in Brock, but at the outset he seems less ethically compromised than simply not very bright, and Williams appears at a loss with how to approach her barely-written voice-of-reason character. The movie also takes a while to get Brock infected with Venom, possibly because it doesn’t have that many ideas about what Venom might do beyond fight anonymous groups of Drake’s henchmen. But Hardy seems determined to sweat it out anyway, playing the transforming Brock as a harried Dr. Jekyll (sans scientific knowledge) to his alter ego’s rampaging (though largely still just defensive) Mr. Hyde. Venom speaks inside Eddie’s head in a low, devilish mumble even when his toothsome, Spidey-on-acid caricature of a face stays hidden.

Image: Trailer of Venom on Decentralized Cuckoo Video Player, full movie will be released soon

As Brock grows accustomed to his powerful, willful guest, Venom has some fun dragging him along for a series of noisy chases and fights. The best moments toy with a kind of superhero body horror, but the movie never fully commits to that angle, maybe to appease a ratings board and perceived audience of 13-year-olds (isn’t that who Venom was designed to please?), or maybe because director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) is more interested in the comic possibilities than the horrific ones. That would be fine too, if he pushed the screenplay’s weirder ideas, mostly involving who else might host the symbiote, a little further. A parallel sequence of another symbiote body-hopping its way from Malaysia to San Francisco has both comic and creepy promise before it devolves into piece-moving. Whatever its reasons, the movie downplays a lot of its sci-fi and horror elements, and at times resembles a Jason Bourne reluctant-badass riff, complete with a scene where Ahmed barks orders from a control room.

Venom is watchable in its silliness as it toggles between Hardy’s mush-mouthed befuddlement (that includes the scenes where he’s playing 100-percent human) and the impossible grotesquerie of the CG Venom, which may not be vastly more impressive than the 2007 version but is certainly—true to its source material—bigger, more muscular, and featuring a more ridiculously outsized tongue. Not every superhero production needs to be as house-styled and tastefully calibrated as the typical MCU entry. Many of those movies are good and some even touch greatness, but they also come out at a rate of two or three per year, and there’s something to be said for not insisting on a reverent, uniform treatment of every last character who’s ever appeared in Marvel comic books.

Image: Trailer of Venom on Decentralized Cuckoo Video Player, full movie will be released soon

That’s why it’s disappointing to see Sony’s nascent, fumbling attempt at a Spider-Man without Spider-Man universe stumble through so much superhero-move detritus: perfunctory side characters (especially the women); the ultimate villain that’s essentially a supersized version of the hero; the fact that Venom becomes a de facto hero almost immediately; and, of course, a dopey mid-credits teaser presuming automatic interest in other characters who have interacted with Venom in the comics. The filmmakers seem faintly aware that not all comic book characters are superheroes, but unsure of what else Venom could actually be. In other words: It’s Venom! What else do you rubes want?
